ART SG 2024
先日、シンガポールにあるマリーナ・ベイ・サンズで行われた「ART SG 2024」というアートイベントに訪れました。
The other day, I visited the art event "ART SG 2024" held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
この会場のメインの目的はシンガポールや中国、タイ、韓国などアジアを中心に世界のアートディーラーさんがアーティストさんの作品を出展し、買い手の方達とマッチングする場のように感じられました。
作品は全て現代アート。日本からは村上隆さんや草間弥生さんの作品も出展されていました。
私は単なるミーハーなアート好きとして、美術館を回るような感覚で。
The main purpose of this venue seemed to be providing a platform for art dealers from around the world, with a focus on Asia, including Singapore, China, Thailand, South Korea, to exhibit and match their artists' works with potential buyers.
All the artworks were contemporary art, and there were exhibits from notable Japanese artists such as Takashi Murakami and Yayoi Kusama.
As a mere enthusiast of art, I approached it with the sense of exploring a museum, enjoying the diverse range of contemporary pieces on display.
作品の色彩や造形が非常にユニークで、脳にピリリとスパイシーな刺激を与えてくれます。
このような場に来ると、もっと色で遊んで良いんだな、とか、素材の組み合わせの統一感や造形のシンメトリーさへのこだわりを捨てていいんだな、とかハッとさせられる事ばかり。
やはり島国日本では単一民族、単一言語、集団の文化が土台にあり、調和する芸術が作られていくのだと思います。
逆も然り、それぞれの国のアートを見る事で文化や思想を紐解ける面白さもあります。
沢山のインスピレーションをもらいました。
The colors and forms of the artworks are incredibly unique, providing a vibrant and spicy stimulation to the brain.
Being in such a setting makes you realize that it's okay to play more with colors or let go of the strict emphasis on material combinations' unity and the symmetry of forms. It's a series of eye-opening moments.
Certainly, being an island nation, Japan has a foundation of a single ethnicity, a single language, and a collective culture, resulting in the creation of harmonious art.
Conversely, exploring the art of different countries offers an interesting perspective by unraveling the richness of culture and ideologies.
I received a lot of inspiration.
